03/23/2024 - Watercolor Portraits with Piper Neulander
Class Date: Saturday, March 23rd
Class Time: 12pm - 3pm
Treat yourself and your artsy friends to 3 hours of creative work and conversations in my bright and cozy studio in East Austin.
Class description:
Together we will practice the principles of watercolor and experiment with different techniques before tracing and painting watercolor portraits. Beginning watercolor artists are welcome. No drawing skill is required, as we will trace our reference photos. We will challenge our understandings of color and practice layering our watercolors for a vibrant yet natural watercolor effect. This is the perfect opportunity to paint a loved one, and portraits make excellent personalized gifts. Please bring a few printed photo references with you of a portrait you’d like to paint. A watercolor kit will be provided.
Each workshop ticket includes:
- A miniature Watercolor Travel Set with 48 half pans (includes paintbrush, pigment liner, water brush and tin box)
- A detail brush
- A Watercolor paper pack
- Coffee, tea & snacks
Students will receive a 10% discount for any purchases made the day of class.
